2027 RISING SIGN, SUN & MOON — WRITTEN ASTROLOGY FORECAST

This is not a generic yearly horoscope and it is not a personal natal-chart reading. I do not see your individual birth chart when I write these forecasts. The 2027 collection is created using Tropical Astrology and the Whole Sign house system, with each forecast built primarily around the Rising Sign. Your Rising Sign gives the most detailed house-based experience of the year, while reading for your Sun and Moon can add additional layers around identity, vitality, emotional experience, and the themes that may feel especially personal to you.

Each sign forecast follows the actual astrology of 2027 month by month, including planetary ingresses, retrogrades, direct stations, eclipses, New Moons, Full Moons, out-of-bounds periods, major aspects, repeating cycles, house rulers, and the relationships between different parts of the chart. I spend a great deal of time asking one practical question: How could this actually unfold in a real human life? A 10th-house transit might be a promotion, retirement, a new boss, a business launch, a public role, a professional conflict, or finally admitting that the respectable career you built now feels like emotional furniture you keep tripping over. A 6th-house transit might show up through work, coworkers, medical appointments, pets, burnout, physical therapy, scheduling, or the realization that being the only competent person in the building is not actually a job description.

Astrology gives us the symbolism. My job is to take that symbolism and explore the many realistic ways it may manifest through experience, observation, research, humor, intuition, pattern recognition, and what I can only describe as my very active and highly attuned imagination.

Every year, I begin this process on January 1, after watching the first sunrise of the year with our Shotokan karate family. Then the real work starts. I sit with the charts and record myself speaking through the year for hours. I talk through the dates, aspects, houses, rulers, possibilities, contradictions, warnings, opportunities, and all the strange little ways a transit could show itself in ordinary life.

Those recordings are transcribed, and then I edit them. And edit them again. And then I usually edit them again after deciding that one paragraph needs twelve more examples because apparently I enjoy creating work for myself.

Much of the forecast begins as spoken thought. I brainstorm, question the obvious interpretation, look for connections between houses, and imagine different readers living completely different lives. I ask how the same astrology might unfold for someone who is married, single, divorced, retired, studying, parenting, child-free, self-employed, working for someone else, caregiving, rebuilding after a difficult period, or beginning something completely new.

Then I turn those hours of voice recordings into a structured written forecast you can return to throughout 2027.

My writing is detailed, practical, emotionally honest, sometimes skeptical, and occasionally sarcastic because real life is occasionally ridiculous. I want you to understand the astrology, but I also want you to recognize your actual life inside it.

You may find serious discussion of money, work, family, relationships, health, legal matters, children, creativity, education, travel, retirement, grief, business, or personal change right next to a reminder that an expensive retreat may indeed change your life, but sometimes it is simply a beautiful hotel with a terrible cancellation policy.

Sometimes a relationship transit is also financial. Sometimes a career opportunity changes your home life. Sometimes professional growth creates a workload that your body has absolutely no intention of cooperating with. One transit rarely lives alone.

You may also read your Sun Sign for additional themes around identity, vitality, visibility, confidence, purpose, and life direction, and your Moon Sign for another layer connected with emotional experience, habits, security, instinct, family patterns, and inner responses.

Reading all three can give you several perspectives on the same year, but this is still not the same as a personal chart reading because I am not comparing the transits with your individual natal planets, degrees, houses, or aspects.
